at the top of Maschgenkommm at Flumserberg, start of Heidi Blumenpfad trail
Summary: about 1hr drive from Zurich, 30 min easy stroller-friendly trail, 14sfr return with halbtax, two restaurants
Flumserberg, a small ski resort popular with Zurichers, is another nearby alpine hiking area with fantastic mountain views. Main benefits: less than an hour drive south of Zurich, relatively inexpensive (11CHF roundtrip with halbtax), and several trails are semi-paved - good for strollers. And even though Zurich was socked in with fog, Heidiland was clear and warm. I'm sad I didn't discover this earlier - it would have been great for our summer visitors.

From the top of the gondola (Maschgenkamm), we took Heidis Alpenblumen trail. If you do just this loop, it will take about 30-40mins with slow walking kids. It's flat, easy and short. It also is a Geotrail, with geological info signs (in German) along the path.

our little hikers taking a rest
One time we hiked this trail, we did a little detour, continuing on trail #4 to a ridge trail with a view of the Wallensee. Then we continued the loop on trail #5 and #6 back to the gondola. This took about 2 hours with lots of picture taking and wandering time for our toddler. It was a beautiful, easy trail (except the last bit which was straight uphill) with lots of wildflowers, even late in the season.

In addition to being stroller friendly, there's a play area at the top of the gondola - it's small but does have an enclosed trampoline and zip line. To get there, take A3 freeway (direction Chur) to Flums, then drive about 15 minutes up a windy road, then take a gondola to the top. If you take the train, you can take a gondola from the lake up to the second gondola.
